Keaton Beach Fishing  report 8/14-15/2015

Trout remain tough as the w-i-n-d combined with the rain storms has dirtied the water up considerably.

I had to fish south of the beach last trip out and we managed four trout and six shorts all on a falling tide but we were fishing in 18 - 20 knot West w-i-n-d-s. Catfish had pretty much taken over when I tried to fish north. We caught all our fish on live pinfish rigged up 48" under Back Bay Thunders. Some of our trout were in 4 - 5 feet of water but most came from 5' - 6'.

I heard the scallopers also had a blast Saturday, taking over four hours to negotiate from the Jetty to taking out at the public ramp!
