Keaton Beach Fishing Report June 5,6 2015

Trout are settling into their Hot Summer patterns and responding well to Shrimp, Live pinfish, Gulp and Assassin Soft Plastic rigged under Cajun and Back Bay Thunders. 4.5 - 8 foot depths have produced nice limits of trout this past week.
We have been having Great trips on board One More Cast as evidenced by 11 trout Friday, May 29 with three over 20"; then 15 trout Saturday, for Steven and Steve Cook and Matt Williams of of Dallas, Ga. with four over 22" long! We fished 4.5 - 6.5 feet of water to land these trout with live pinfish rigged 48" under Back Bay Thunders. Sunday, I had John and Leigh Turner of Stone Mountain, Ga. out and we managed 14 keepers with three over 20" again in 4.5 - 6.5 ft of water on live pinfish. Oh, and I caught 5 of those keeper trout on Assassin's "Opening Night" rigged 38" under a Cajun Thunder. Leigh jumped a 60-70 pound Tarpon, the first one we have jumped this year.
Saturday and Sunday, Matt and Luke Chastain of Elijay, Ga. were down from Elijay, Ga. and caught 8 keeper trout on 10 casts right at the high tide in 6 - 8 ft. of water using live shrimp under a Cajun Thunder. The next day, his wife Cindy joined Matt and Luke( son) and the trio had 15 trout using Gulp under a Cajun. Matt said he was using a 48" leader.
Monday, I took James Ragsdale and Jimmy Brandon of Loganville and Conyers, Ga. respectively out and we caught a limit of fifteen trout in 4.5 - 5.5 ft. This pair had a blast and repeated that same effort with 15 trout Tuesday as well.
