Keaton Beach Fishing report June 19 -20
Well, how about 20 trout before 11:20 a.m. Saturday, June 13 for Stan & Tyler Bryant with Will Shrimpscher of Warner Robins, Ga. we caught one trout for an hour and a half then "Bang" it was on from 9:30 to 11:20 we were doing it. We caught 6 of the 20 on pinfish strips ( "shiner tails") as the locals call them. The largest fish 23.5"( Will) was caught on a strip. Tyler caught the balance (5) on strips rigged 48" under a Back Bay Thunder The rest of our trout ate live pinfish under Back Bays and we were in 5.5 - 6.5 feet of water.
Sunday, we took 5+ hours to catch 9 trout (same crew ) no breeze ...then when the w-i-n-d picked up I moved to 4.5 feet and we got 6 in one drift about 45 minutes. What a difference a day makes. We brought in 15 with two over 20"
Most folks have been having a hard time finding fish; but aren't fishing with live pinfish, the incoming tides or concentrating their efforts on the w-i-n-d and working it when it is up.
I didn't have any reports from others and didn't receive the results from the Nauti-Girls tourney or I would report them.
Meanwhile Good Fishing!
