KEATON Beach Fishing report 8/22,23/14

Billy Pillow of Woods 'N Water Fishing Team fame and I went Wednesday and landed 7 trout with one 24" long (Billy) and one 22.5" We were using live pinfish under Back Bay Thunders in 4.5 - 5.5 feet of water. I landed one nice trout one an Assassin 5" shad in Sand Trout pattern. Oh and I caught and threw back a 15" gag grouper from 6 ft.of water.

That's all I have this week, as with School starting back the marina was downright lonesome looking with very few going fishing.

Scallopers were still finding limits this past weekend with much less traffic on the water. Now is the time to go if you haven't been, no crowds, more scallops and fewer Thunderstorms .
